The Freddy Tramp Oil Separator removes tramp oil and impurities from coolants and fluids in a variety of applications. These include machine tool sumps, component washing machines and process fluids from quench tanks.
The Tramp Oil Separator runs continuously whilst the host machine is in operation, thus eliminating downtime.
A new Freddy Mini–Tramp Oil Separator is now available for smaller applications.
Both versions are available as electric or air operated units with UV filters to eliminate bacterial growth.
Process:
- Contaminated coolant enters the pre–filter to remove large particles.
- Fluid is pumped to the top of the tank and passes down through the filter media
- Filter media removes tramp oil which is siphoned off into a collection vessel.
- Cleaned coolant enters the UV chamber where ultraviolet rays control the bacterial level.
- Clean coolant is returned to the machine tool sump.
