Nevo Developments Case Study

Nevo Developments are designers and manufacturers of special gears including variable ratio rack and pinion systems for most of the current F1 grid.

We first met John from Nevo Developments when he walked onto our stand at Mach 2018. He explained he was fed up with cheap flimsy units and wanted something high quality and solid. We had a chat about our machines and what they could do for him, but he was concerned that they would be too big for his needs.

Simon (Freddy MD) explained we had a bespoke build department and we’d be happy to look at a solution for him. It was arranged for Simon to visit Nevo's state of the art facility in Bicester the following week so that he could understand John's reservations about size.

Once qualified the bespoke team at Freddy set about mocking up a unit to show John. The first one we discussed over Facetime just see what he thought. From that we were able to go on and make a working unit for him to test. That was delivered a few weeks later with photo updates being sent along the way to show progress.  Working this way allowed John to make some further revisions to tool storage which he hadn’t thought about, so we modified the prototype unit and did another Facetime for final sign off.

John chose a very smart grey for his One off Freddy Micro Plus……………………..and we think it looks fantastic!
